The Interreg SUDOE IMPROVEMENT project consortium met on March 24, 2022 to share the status of the Project to date among the different beneficiaries. The consortium has made great progress in its work during 2022, both in its technical developments and in the works of its pilot plants in Spain CNH2, and in Portugal.

CNH2 has made progress with its pilot plant in recent months, especially in the thermal part of the pilot. The thermal part of the pilot plant, consisting of an energy storage system for heating, cooling and geothermal heat recovery, is practically installed, pending planning and testing. On the other hand, CNH2 have also made new installations and integrations in the electrical part of the pilot, but we still have to work more on it to make it ready, among other tasks, the complete integration of the equipment that make up the microgrid and the completion of the SCADA

In the case of the Portuguese Pilot Project in LNEG Pilot project energy reduction is up to 75% and the pilot plant is quite advanced.
